01 Our Philosophy
Gelathi is built around genuine human connection — listening, understanding, and engaging with others in a space that feels safe and welcoming. These Community Guidelines exist to protect that experience for every person on our Platform.
We expect all users — including Listeners, marketplace buyers and sellers, and everyone in between — to treat one another with dignity and respect. Violating these guidelines may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination, and in serious cases, referral to law enforcement.
These guidelines apply to all forms of interaction on Gelathi: text messages, calls, media shared, profile content, marketplace listings, reviews, and any other user-generated content.
04 Content Standards
4.1 Profile Content
Profile photos and bio information must accurately represent you. Do not use photos of other people, celebrities, or AI-generated images as your profile picture without disclosure.
4.2 Shared Media
Images and videos shared through the Platform must not contain:
- Nudity, pornographic, or sexually explicit material;
- Graphic violence, gore, or disturbing imagery;
- Content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights;
- Misleading or manipulated media presented as real (deepfakes).
4.3 Spam & Scams
Do not send unsolicited promotional messages, chain messages, or phishing links. Do not attempt to defraud other users through fake listings, false promises, or romance scams.
4.4 Misinformation
Do not deliberately spread false information that could cause harm to individuals, communities, or public health.
08 Reporting Violations
We rely on our community to help keep Gelathi safe. If you encounter content or behaviour that violates these guidelines:
- Use the Report button available on every profile, message, media item, and call interface;
- For urgent safety concerns, email safety@gelathi.in with a description and any supporting evidence;
- For child safety concerns specifically, you may also report to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in.
Reports are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team. We do not share the identity of the reporter with the reported user.
09 Enforcement & Consequences
Violations of these Community Guidelines may result in the following actions, depending on severity, frequency, and context:
- Warning: A formal notice for first-time or minor violations;
- Content Removal: Offending content taken down without notice;
- Feature Restriction: Temporary loss of specific Platform features (e.g., media sharing, calls);
- Account Suspension: Temporary inability to access the Platform;
- Permanent Ban: Irrevocable removal from the Platform for serious or repeated violations;
- Legal Action: Referral to law enforcement authorities for violations of Indian law.
You may appeal enforcement actions by contacting appeals@gelathi.in within 14 days of the action. We will review appeals and respond within 10 business days.
